The Farm MarketThe Woodstock Farm Market Cooperative will take a small step on Friday, May 1st in continuing its essential service as a provider of local food products. The Market will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with carefully controlled traffic flow, social distancing, and sanitizing.

The Market did continue in business after the general shutdown by taking phone orders and providing for pick up at the door on Tuesdays and Fridays. This service will continue to be available. Pick up on Tuesdays is between 10 and 12. Pick up on Fridays is between 10 and 4 when the Market is open. To place an order, call Ramona Paul at 323-8322 and arrange for your pick up time.

The Woodstock Farm Market is in a unique position. Most Farm Markets are open only one day a week. Vendors come and set up and big crowds of customers come and make their purchases. The Woodstock Farm Market is normally open six days a week. Vendors’ stalls are open for sales each day and purchases are paid for at the central sales counter. This arrangement provides customers with more flexibility for shopping and results in greater sales for vendors.

This arrangement has also allowed the Market to continue service on an order and pickup basis during the general shut down and now allows it to take a trial step toward reopening on Fridays. The Farm Market Board of Directors is monitoring the situation and together with the volunteer staff will assess the Friday openings as we move further into spring.
